Link players in your starting XI based on shared clubs, leagues and nations. Players earn Chemistry no matter where they are on the pitch in FUT 23.

Chemistry indicators

A new diamond indicator on the squad screen shows you how much Chemistry each player in your starting XI is providing to your team on a new 0-3 scale, while the Chemistry panel shows each club, league and nation represented in your squad to help you maximise your links.

Positioning

Players can now have up to three secondary positions. Whether it’s a striker who also plays on the wing, a full back who can play either side or a defensive midfielder who deputizes at center back, switch your players’ positions with a single position change item to find new options for your squad.

Attributes

Every player in your squad will now play with at least their base attributes, even when played out of position with zero Chemistry. The more Chemistry they have in your squad, the greater the boost to their in-game stats.

ICONs and FUT Heroes

Some of the most memorable players in the history of the game — ICONs and FUT Heroes — give your squad a unique Chemistry benefit and will always be at full Chemistry if played in the right position. 

In FUT 23, ICONs will count as an extra player towards their nation and FUT Heroes as an extra player towards their associated league, helping you to maximize your squad’s Chemistry.
